The event was inaugurated by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, who delivered a keynote address underscoring the transformative role of research in shaping India’s progress.
Bringing together thought leaders from academia, industry, and government, the forum explored how research-driven solutions can address India’s critical challenges.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the theme “Educate to Innovate” as a guiding principle for institutions like ISB to bridge the gap between education and real-world problem-solving. He lauded ISB’s strategic focus on research, emphasizing that non-state institutions prioritizing research can drive significant societal benefits. The minister advocated for a multidisciplinary approach, integrating STEM with social sciences like economics, to foster a research-centric society as envisioned in the current education policy.

The Union Minister also emphasized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in bridging linguistic and cultural divides. He envisioned AI as a tool for seamless communication between diverse linguistic communities, benefitting education and beyond. Recognizing ISB’s contributions to advancing AI as a general-purpose technology, he expressed optimism about its future integration into real-world applications.
In the valedictory session, Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO of NITI Aayog, shared his vision for India@2047. He stressed the importance of investments in research, innovation, and entrepreneurial talent to create a prosperous and inclusive nation. Highlighting deep-tech and AI as crucial areas, he urged stakeholders to focus on building capabilities for a developed India.
Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean of ISB, expressed gratitude for the support of dignitaries, stating,
