Varahimedia.com online news,India, October 16, 2024: HDFC Bank, one of India’s leading private banks, recently held a two-day Public Awareness Campaign (PAC) across 33 districts in Telangana to promote the acceptance of ₹10 coins. Conducted in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India, the campaign aimed to dispel misconceptions about the legal validity of ₹10 coins and build public trust.
During the campaign, ₹10 coins worth Rs 10.96 lakh were exchanged across 430 branches and 542 banking correspondents (BCs). Over the past year, coins worth Rs 16.90 lakh have been distributed. The bank used various methods, including posters, banners, and digital displays, to reach retailers, traders, and small businesses.
