The curated rollout features an array of high-profile theatrical breakouts—including Peddi, Blast, Amaran, Maharaja, Court: State vs A Nobody, and Lucky Bhaskar—alongside platform originals. Notable Netflix Originals highlighted in the collection include the recently premiered Pyaar Prema Kalyanam; Made in Korea, which made history as the first title from southern India to hit #1 on the Global Top 10 Non-English Films list; and Super Subbu, Netflix’s inaugural Telugu Original series. The platform also teased upcoming releases, such as the romantic-comedy series #Love and the highly anticipated series Legacy.

The launch underscores Netflix’s expanding strategic focus on regional storytelling. According to company announcements, subscribers can anticipate an average of one new title per week from the region’s film industries for the remainder of 2026, covering major post-theatrical releases and platform originals.

Data released by the streaming service highlights a robust global and domestic appetite for southern Indian content. Since 2025, the India Top 10 Films list has featured at least one title from the region every week. Furthermore, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films secured spots on the Global Top 10 Non-English Films list during 39 out of 52 weeks in 2025, with regional titles entering Top 10 lists across 59 international countries outside India.

“Into the Southverse” mirrors other specialized discovery features on the platform, such as “Watch Your Favorite Books,” which groups adaptations from literature, manga, and webtoons. The new hub is now live for subscribers across India.
