The celebrations were graced by Shri Tariq Ahmed Ansari, Chairman of the Telangana Minority Commission, as the Chief Guest. Organized by the Avalon Residents Welfare Association (ARWA), the event began with a ceremonial flag hoisting, attended by ARWA President Mr. Quadeer Khan, General Secretary Mr. Sirajuddin, and other committee members, followed by the soul-stirring national anthem.
The programme featured motivating speeches by the ARWA leadership and a lively cultural showcase, where residents impressed the audience with patriotic songs, heartfelt speeches, and energetic performances. The crowd responded with applause, cheers, and emotional moments of nostalgia.
This year’s celebration also marked the grand finale of a week-long series of events, including sports, literary, and creative competitions for all age groups. A major highlight was a food festival, where Avalon’s culinary enthusiasts presented an array of homemade delicacies, blending flavour with patriotism.
Competition prizes were awarded during the event, with the Chief Guest encouraging residents on the importance of unity and reaffirming his commitment to supporting minority communities in Telangana.
The programme concluded with a warm vote of thanks by Mr. Chand Basha, EC Member, who praised the organizing team for their tireless efforts. The General Secretary also expressed gratitude to residents, volunteers, and participants for making the day a resounding success.
