IndiGo and Garuda Indonesia Forge Codeshare Partnership to Boost Connectivity Between India and Indonesia
Varahi media.com online news,National, June 3, 2025:IndiGo, India’s leading airline, and Garuda Indonesia, the national carrier of Indonesia, have announced a strategic bilateral codeshare agreement aimed at enhancing connectivity and travel ease between the two countries.
Through this partnership, IndiGo passengers will gain access to 17 new destinations across Indonesia, while Garuda Indonesia customers can connect seamlessly to seven major cities in India. The codeshare flights will operate via key hubs like Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Bali, offering travelers the convenience of single-ticket booking and through check-in for baggage.
Abhijit DasGupta, Senior Vice President – Network Planning & Revenue Management at IndiGo, commented:
“This codeshare with Garuda Indonesia is a key milestone in our international strategy. It enhances options for our customers while opening up vast new parts of Indonesia for seamless travel.”

The codeshare agreement is expected to go live in July 2025, subject to regulatory approvals, with ticket sales beginning in June. This partnership is set to significantly reduce travel complexity while offering greater accessibility and comfort for passengers from both countries.
