Varahimedia.com,Tirumala, 16 January 2025:The TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) organized a grand Snapana Tirumanjanam ceremony on Thursday at Dashaswamedha Ghat in Prayagraj, as part of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
A team of priests, led by Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu, one of the chief priests of the Tirumala temple, conducted the sacred Tirumanjanam for Lord Sri Srinivasa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, on the banks of the holy river Ganga.
The ceremony was performed with offerings of milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric, and sandalwood paste, creating an atmosphere of divine ecstasy for the devotees.
On this occasion, Vedic scholars chanted the Pancha Suktams, including Sri Suktam, Bhusuktam, Nila Suktam, Purusha Suktam, and Narayana Suktam.

Following the abhishekam (ritualistic bathing of the idols), the idols were adorned with Tulsi garlands.
Later, the anthropomorphic representation of Lord Sudarshana Chakrattalwar was ceremoniously carried to the Ganga River, amidst the sounds of Mangala Vaidyams and the chanting of Vedic mantras. Special puja and Harati (ritualistic light offering) were performed for the Lord, and the Chakrasana Mahotsavam was held with great devotion.
The event was attended by HDPP Secretary Sri Sriram Raghunath, DyEO Sri Guna Bhushan Reddy, Superintendent Sri Guru Rajaswamy, and other officials.
