Varahimedia.com online news, Hyderabad, July 26, 2025: A profound sense of pride, gratitude, and inspiration permeated the campus of Mahila Dakshata Samithi Educational Institutions in Gangaram, Chandanagar, today as the Fourth Convocation Ceremony for B.Sc. Nursing graduates of Mahila Dakshata Samithi and Bansilal Malani College of Nursing was held. Fifty students from the fourth batch of B.Sc. Nursing successfully graduated.
The significant event also saw the participation of students and faculty from Suman Junior College for Girls and Sri V.D. Bajaj Degree College for Women, both integral parts of the MDS group of institutions.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of His Excellency Sri Jishnu Dev Varma ji, Honourable Governor of Telangana, as the Chief Guest. A distinguished panel of Guests of Honour included Smt. Abhilasha Bisht, IPS, Sri Mantena Venkata Rama Raju, Sri Sajjan Kumar Goenka, Dr. Mahesh Tapadia, and Sri Subhash Goenka ji, making it a true celebration of achievement, service, and empowerment.
Dr. Saroj Bajaj, President of Mahila Dakshata Samithi, highlighted the institution’s transformative journey since its inception in 1991. She proudly stated that over 10,000 young women, many from underprivileged backgrounds, have since forged successful careers globally in healthcare, finance, and technology.
Dr. Bajaj extended her heartfelt tribute to the generous donors and supporters, including Sri Sajjan Kumar Goenka, Smt. Aruna Malani ji, and the late Shri Ramgopal ji Goenka, whose continued support fuels vital projects like the Nirmala Goenka Girls Hostel & Auditorium, a vast 1,15,000 sq. ft. facility currently under development.
Addressing the assembly, Governor Sri Jishnu Dev Varma ji lauded nurses as “the invisible strength of society.” He remarked, “You are not just receiving degrees—you are accepting responsibilities, promises, and a mission of service to humanity. Let the vision of Mahila Dakshata Samithi and leaders like Dr. Saroj Bajaj guide you as you step into the world as compassionate healers and empowered women.”
Smt. Abhilasha Bisht, IPS, Director of RGVRR Telangana State Police Academy, commended the graduates for their resilience. “Nursing is not just a job — it is a divine calling. As you move into your professional lives, remember the power of financial independence and never forget the visionary who lit your path — Dr. Saroj Bajaj,” she stated.
Sri Mantena Venkata Rama Raju, Chairman & MD of Vasudha Pharma Chem Ltd., reaffirmed his unwavering support for MDS, pledging assistance in training, infrastructure, and collaborative growth. He emphasized, “You are the leaders the healthcare system desperately needs.”
Dr. Mahesh Tapadia, MD of Tapadia Diagnostics, praised nurses as “silent warriors” and announced free thalassemia testing for all MDS students as “a small tribute to your courage and service during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The convocation was attended by over 1,000 students, faculty, and guests, including Smt. G. Lakshmi, General Secretary of MDS, and numerous trustees and supporters. The contributions of corporate partners such as Google, Broadridge, Infosys, Model N, and Bijay Mandhani ji were also gratefully acknowledged.
The ceremony concluded amidst joyful cheers and emotional farewells, with a shared sense of purpose. As the graduates received their degrees, they carried not only their qualifications but also a solemn promise: to serve with skill, lead with integrity, and uplift with compassion.
