Varahi media.com online news,Bengaluru, September 18, 2025: Ather Energy Limited, a leading name in India’s electric two-wheeler industry, has achieved a key milestone by establishing over 500 Experience Centres (ECs) across the country. In recent months, Ather has accelerated its expansion, with a particular focus on penetrating Middle and North India to meet the rising demand for its electric scooters, notably the Rizta, its first family-oriented scooter.
Mr. Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy Limited, commented on the achievement: “Reaching 500 Experience Centres is a significant milestone in our growth trajectory, reflecting the increasing demand for our products across diverse markets. While South India remains our stronghold, the success of the Rizta has fueled rapid expansion in Middle and North India.
Our growth isn’t limited to metropolitan areas; we’re also making strong inroads into tier 2 and 3 cities, where consumer enthusiasm is equally promising. Looking ahead, our goal is to exceed 700 Experience Centres by the end of FY26, ensuring Ather’s accessibility to customers nationwide.”
In the past three months (June–August 2025), Ather has added 101 new Experience Centres to its network. Of these, over 58 were established in Middle and North India, covering cities such as Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Mandsaur and Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), Sundargarh (Odisha), Vadodara (Gujarat), and Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh). In South India, where Ather holds a leading position, the company continues to strengthen its robust retail network.

Ather is also expanding its footprint in tier 2 and 3 cities like Calicut, Indore, Nashik, Coimbatore, Guntur, Haldwani, Satara, Kota, Kangra, and Aizwal to broaden its customer reach. To cater to diverse markets, Ather has adopted varied retail formats tailored to different city tiers. Alongside its retail growth, Ather is enhancing its service network, including Ather Gold service centres.
Ather’s retail presence is particularly strong in states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, each boasting over 50 Experience Centres. At the city level, Bengaluru leads with 18 centres, followed by Pune and Hyderabad with 13 each, Delhi with 9, and Mumbai and Chennai with 8 each. This expansion is driven by robust consumer demand and a growing market share.
Ather’s national market share rose to 14.3% in Q1 FY26, up from 7.6% in Q1 FY25. In Middle India, its market share surged 2.6x year-on-year to 10.7%, propelled by rapid retail growth. Ather continues to dominate South India with a 22.8% market share in Q1 FY25.
Ather’s product lineup includes the performance-focused 450 series and the Rizta, its first family scooter designed for safety, comfort, and convenience. At Ather Community Day 2025, the company unveiled its new EL platform to power future scooters, introduced AtherStack™ 7.0 with voice-enabled features and safety enhancements like Pothole and Crash Alerts, launched Infinite Cruise™ for the 2025 Ather 450 Apex, and announced a touchscreen upgrade for the Rizta Z.
Ather operates two manufacturing plants in Hosur, Tamil Nadu—one for vehicle assembly and another for battery production. A third facility is under development in Bidkin, AURIC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, which will boost Ather’s total manufacturing capacity to 1.42 million electric two-wheelers annually.
