Varahi media.com online news,Tirupati,January 11th,2025: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board has decided to distribute ex-gratia cheques to the families of the victims of the tragic stampede incident that took place in Tirupati. The distribution of these cheques will begin on January 12, 2025.
In this connection, a meeting was convened by the TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu at his camp office in Tirumala on Saturday afternoon. During the meeting, it was decided to form two committees with board members to personally visit the families of the deceased and distribute the compensation cheques.
As part of this initiative, each family of the six deceased victims will receive an ex-gratia amount of ₹25 lakh. The distribution will be done by the committees in coordination with local legislators in the respective regions.

Apart from distributing the ex-gratia cheques, the committees will also collect information regarding the educational and employment status of the victims’ families. Based on the gathered details, one member from each family will be offered a contract job in TTD. Additionally, free education will be provided to the children of these families in TTD-run educational institutions.

Furthermore, the committees will also distribute compensation to those who were injured in the stampede.
- ₹5 lakh will be given to the seriously injured.
- ₹2 lakh will be given to those who suffered partial injuries.
The TTD Board aims to ensure that the victims’ families receive not only financial assistance but also long-term support in terms of employment and education.
