Varahi media.com online news,September 15th,2025: India1 Payments, India’s largest White Label ATM Operator (WLAO), has launched a new, wholly-owned subsidiary called Paysis Payments Pvt. Ltd. The new company will focus on providing secure and scalable payment solutions, marking a strategic move by India1 to expand beyond its core ATM business.
For the past decade, India1 has become the country’s third-largest ATM brand, with a network spanning over 340 districts and 2,500 talukas. The company has been a key driver of ATM growth in India, contributing to 52% of new ATM deployments in the last five years. Building on this success, Paysis will now focus on providing advanced payment and switching solutions to small and mid-sized banks.
New Leadership and Future Goals
To support this new direction, India1 has restructured its leadership:
- Kumara Krishnan has been named CEO of India1 Payments (ATM and Retail Business).
- Rajeev Desai has been appointed CEO of Paysis Payments, tasked with growing the new payments technology business.
- Sanjay Bajaj will serve as Group CFO & Head of Shared Services for both companies.

Paysis has already secured agreements with a private bank and several cooperative banks and is in talks with many others. With India’s digital transactions growing rapidly, India1 expects Paysis to serve at least 200 banks and financial institutions within the next five years.

K Srinivas, Executive Vice Chairman of India1 Payments, stated that Paysis will help smaller and mid-sized financial institutions provide the same level of service as larger banks. This, he says, will ensure that financial inclusion reaches every part of the country. Together, the ATM business and Paysis will work to create a comprehensive financial ecosystem for underserved communities.
