Varahi media.com online news.,New Delhi,December 9th,2024: The Delhi High Court has issued summons to several media houses in a defamation suit filed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, seeking a permanent and mandatory injunction along with Rs 100 crore in damages.

The case involves defamatory articles that linked him to indictment proceedings related to the Adani Group in the United States.

Representing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Senior Advocate Dayan Krishnan, along with Advocates Amit Agrawal, Sahil Raveen, and Rahul Kukreja, argued that the publications were unfounded and defamatory.

They pointed out that the US indictment mentioned in the articles did not name him, and no formal notice had been received regarding the indictment.

The Court issued summons for the main suit, along with a notice on the interim application to remove the articles. It also warned the defendants that any further publications would lead to legal repercussions. The next hearing is scheduled for December 16, 2024.
