Varahi medai.com online news,November 13th,2024: Wipro Ltd. has teamed up with Forvia, a leading automotive technology supplier, to optimize the applications of Forvia’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The collaboration aims to enhance vehicle safety and comfort by leveraging Wipro’s Cloud Car framework, which includes microservices and vehicle container architecture components.
The project focused on Forvia’s surround-view technology, which integrates multiple exterior camera views into a 3D perspective, helping drivers park their vehicles more safely and efficiently. Thanks to Wipro’s cloud-native architecture, Forvia’s ADAS applications are now more independent of hardware, reducing maintenance costs and seamlessly integrating into original equipment manufacturers’ (OEMs) value chains.

Vanessa Picron, Vice President of Forvia’s Electronics Europe Division, commented on the collaboration: “Moving to microservices and container architecture is pivotal in the software transformation of the automotive industry. It enables us to offer more competitive and easily integrable functions, extending our business with new software-only solutions, including those critical for safety features. This successful partnership with Wipro reflects the convergence of our shared vision and complementary expertise.”
Through this collaboration, all functions of Forvia’s ADAS applications have been integrated into a connected, service-oriented microservice architecture. This update has reduced the software development lifecycle costs and allows Forvia to market its ADAS features individually or in combination with features from customers or third parties.

Graziella Neuvéglise, Regional Head and Managing Director of Southern Europe at Wipro, emphasized the significance of the project, stating: “This collaboration highlights our diverse expertise in the software-defined vehicle sector. By working with automotive leaders, we aim to drive innovation in safety and entertainment features, utilizing cloud-native engineering principles to support their growth.”
This partnership marks a significant step forward in enhancing automotive technology and further solidifies Wipro’s role in transforming the industry with advanced cloud-native solutions.
