Varahi media.com online news,Hyderabad, January 21, 2025: In a groundbreaking collaboration, the Indian School of Business (ISB) has partnered with the Veni Rao Foundation to establish the ‘Veni Rao Tech for Social Good Challenge’. The annual challenge, backed by a ₹1 Crore endowment from the foundation, is designed to inspire and support innovative solutions to some of society’s most pressing problems. The challenge will be hosted annually by ISB, leveraging the school’s academic excellence to identify and scale impactful solutions with tangible outcomes.
The first year’s focus will be on digital health innovations, with ISB’s Max Institute of Healthcare Management (MIHM) leading the initiative. The goal is to encourage the development of technologies that can help address critical healthcare challenges, particularly in underserved communities.

This challenge aligns with the Veni Rao Foundation’s ongoing commitment to healthcare, which includes establishing surgical facilities and mobile health clinics across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The initiative aims to provide a platform for startups, professionals, and students to collaborate on scalable solutions that can transform healthcare access and outcomes.
Ratna Reddy, Founder-Trustee of the Veni Rao Foundation and Founder of CHIREC International School, stated, “Our partnership with ISB reflects a shared vision of using innovation to create positive social change. By bringing together diverse stakeholders, this challenge will accelerate the development of practical solutions that have the power to improve lives in underserved communities.”
Professor Sarang Deo, Deputy Dean of Faculty & Research and Executive Director of the Max Institute of Healthcare Management at ISB, commented, “With the rapid advancement of digital technologies, there’s an increasing need to bring together multidisciplinary teams to tackle pressing healthcare challenges. This partnership with the Veni Rao Foundation will help validate these innovations and measure their real-world impact on both clinical and non-clinical healthcare outcomes.”

Through this partnership, the Veni Rao Tech for Social Good Challenge will serve as a catalyst for creating scalable, technology-driven solutions to improve healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and outcomes for underserved populations across India.
