Varahi media.com online news,HYDERABAD, February 11th,2026: Global financial services giant UBS has officially inaugurated its newest office in Hyderabad, located at Centaurus by Phoenix in the Gachibowli tech hub. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the firm’s long-term commitment to India’s Global Capability Center (GCC) ecosystem.

Since launching its Hyderabad operations in 2020, UBS has rapidly scaled its presence. With this new facility, the firm plans to double its local workforce, with aims to hire between 2,000 and 3,000 professionals in the coming months.

A Strategic Hub for Innovation and AI
The new office is designed to be a center for high-end technology and financial operations.

Matthias Schacke, Head India Service Company for UBS, noted that Hyderabad’s “strong talent pool and supportive policies” make it a premier growth location for the firm’s global operations.

Strengthening India-Switzerland Economic Ties
The inauguration was attended by Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT and Industries, Government of Telangana, who highlighted the state’s success in building a world-class GCC ecosystem.

“UBS has emerged as a strong partner in Telangana’s growth story. We view this expansion as a long-term partnership that strengthens Hyderabad’s role in global innovation,” the Minister stated.

Dr. Angela Honegger, CEO & Consul General at Swissnex in India, added that the expansion aligns with the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), which is designed to bolster investment and job creation between Switzerland and India.
