Varahi media.com online news,Tirupati, 28 February 2025: TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu announced that job opportunities will be provided to youth through the sports quota in TTD. He inaugurated the Annual Games and Sports Competitions for TTD employees at the TTD Parade Grounds in Tirupati on Friday.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, he encouraged employees to showcase their sporting talents and prepare themselves for participation in national and international sports events. He emphasized that annual sports competitions help employees maintain physical fitness and announced plans to build a dedicated sports complex for TTD employees. He highlighted that these competitions have been held since 1977 to enhance both the physical and mental well-being of employees.

On this occasion, TTD EO J. Syamala Rao administered the sports pledge to the employees. Following this, the Chairman, along with the EO and other officials, unveiled the sports flag, and balloons and peace flags were released into the sky. Employees also conducted a march-past to mark the event.

TTD EO Highlights Employees’ Role and Benefits of Sports
Speaking on the occasion, TTD EO J. Syamala Rao lauded the dedication of employees in serving lakhs of devotees visiting Tirumala. He praised their collective efforts in ensuring the success of key events such as Srivari Brahmotsavam,Padmavati Brahmotsavam, Vaikuntha Ekadashi, and Rathasaptami.
He emphasized that sports foster team spirit, discipline, mental cheerfulness, and physical fitness. He encouraged all employees to participate in sports, as it helps boost morale, teamwork, and a healthy work environment.

Employees competing in the sports events will receive cash prizes:
- First Prize: ₹2,000
- Second Prize: ₹1,800
- Third Prize: Bank gift card worth ₹1,600

Additional EO Stresses the Importance of Sports
Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary urged employees to focus on health and well-being to provide efficient services in their profession. He highlighted the historical significance of sports since ancient Greek times and said that sports help in controlling health problems, enhancing endurance, and rejuvenation.
He advised all employees to manage stress effectively and serve devotees with a sporting spirit, patience, and dedication.

During the inaugural program, employees were informed about registered participants, teams, competition schedules, and event details. Competitions will be held separately for:
- Men and Women
- Special Talent Categories
- Senior Officers and Retired Employees
Tug of War, Chess, Volleyball, Carroms, Ball Badminton, Football, Table Tennis, Cricket, Shuttle, Tennis, and more.
