Varahimedia.com online news, India,January 7th,2025: In a heartfelt tribute to the late Shri Tulsi Tanti and his deep commitment to the state of Andhra Pradesh, Suzlon Group has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to launch India’s largest green skill development initiative. This groundbreaking program seeks to enhance green job opportunities and address the employability gap in India’s renewable energy sector.

The initiative will focus on creating a future-ready workforce by offering specialized training in wind power manufacturing, including areas like Electrical, Mechanical, Blade Technology, Material Management, Operations & Maintenance, and Land & Liasoning. Over the next four years, the program will aim to train 12,000 young people, including at least 3,000 women, with a focus on developing expertise in the renewable energy industry.

Additionally, Suzlon will create a comprehensive curriculum for ITI, Diploma, and degree engineering colleges, partnering with universities to incorporate globally recognized content and cutting-edge research from the wind energy sector.

Shri Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT & Human Resources Development, commented, “Our goal is to generate 2 million local jobs in the next five years, promoting enterprise, self-employment, and enhanced income for economically disadvantaged families. This initiative will contribute significantly to strengthening India’s position as a talent hub in the renewable energy sector.”

JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, stated, “The late Shri Tulsi Tanti often dreamed of establishing a university dedicated to renewable energy, where India could nurture talent to achieve global recognition. With this strategic initiative, we aim to position Andhra Pradesh as a leading talent hub for the renewable energy sector and create a sustainable future.”

Rajendra Mehta, Chief Human Resource Officer at Suzlon Group, added, “Through this collaboration, Suzlon will establish ‘Learning Labs’ at five key locations across Andhra Pradesh. These centres will offer programs ranging from 3 to 12 months, combining classroom learning and hands-on training.

They will serve as hubs for skill development, training, and job placements, further amplifying the impact of this transformative initiative. This effort strengthens Suzlon’s role in shaping India’s sustainable workforce for the future, creating 12,000 career opportunities.”
