Varahi media.com online news,National,March 13, 2025: Tata Power, one of India’s leading integrated power companies, has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to enhance workforce readiness and skill development in the power sector. This collaboration aims to strengthen green job opportunities and build expertise in power transmission and distribution, driving employability in the industry.

As part of this initiative, the Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI), established by Tata Power, will serve as NSDC’s Training Partner. TPSDI will deliver industry-aligned training programs in key domains such as green energy, power transmission, power distribution, and industrial safety. The courses will focus on hands-on learning to equip trainees with practical skills, ensuring they meet the evolving demands of India’s energy transition and net-zero workforce.

With over three lakh individuals already trained, TPSDI has been instrumental in bridging the skill gap in the power sector. Expanding on this success, Tata Power plans to establish additional training centers across India, increasing access to high-quality vocational education. Currently, TPSDI operates 11 training centers nationwide.

The partnership will also introduce training in emerging areas such as energy storage, green hydrogen, and pumped hydro systems—aligning with India’s growing green energy ecosystem. These initiatives will strengthen India’s skilled workforce and support the country’s clean energy transition.
