Advanced Technology and Environmental Compliance
Re Carma’s network uses advanced technology to maximize material recovery from vehicles, including plastics and various metals. The process adheres to strict national and international standards, making it the most advanced ELV recycling network in the country. It is also the exclusive recycling partner for some of the world’s largest auto manufacturers.
The network is fully compliant with India’s voluntary vehicle scrappage policy. It issues government-recognized Certificates of Vehicle Scrapping (Form-4), ensuring transparency by integrating with the VAHAN national database. The process is certified with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards for quality, environment, and safety.

Addressing a Growing Challenge
With millions of old vehicles on Indian roads, the need for a formal recycling system is urgent. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), there are 5.1 million vehicles older than 20 years in India. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) estimates this number will grow to over 20 million by 2025. Unrecycled vehicles pose a significant threat to the environment and public health. Re Carma provides an environmentally sound solution to this problem.
ReSL also serves as an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) partner for international vehicle brands, helping them meet their compliance requirements.
According to Mr. Masood Mallick, Managing Director & CEO of Re Sustainability, Re Carma is not just a recycling initiative but a platform for sustainable mobility that positions India as a leader in circular economy solutions.
