Varahi media.com online news,Hyderabad, July 5th,2025: Ramaiah Memorial Hospital (RMH), a leading quaternary care super-specialty hospital in Bengaluru, Karnataka, has been awarded the prestigious Joint Commission International’s (JCI) Gold Seal of Approval® for Hospital Accreditation. This recognition demonstrates the hospital’s unwavering commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and effective patient care in line with globally recognized standards.
RMH underwent an extensive on-site evaluation under JCI’s 8th Edition framework, during which international expert surveyors assessed the hospital across 15 chapters, 237 standards, and 1,094 measurable elements. Key focus areas included patient care and assessment, medication safety, infection control, international patient safety goals, surgical and anesthesia protocols, quality improvement measures, facility safety, staff training, sustainability, leadership development, and fostering a culture of safety and ethics.
The accreditation is the result of months of meticulous preparation and the dedicated efforts of the hospital’s staff at every level.
Ramaiah Memorial Hospital has also recently been recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the American Stroke Association (ASA) and a Comprehensive Chest Pain Center by the American Heart Association (AHA).
