Over the decades, his relentless dedication, unmatched skills, and sheer passion for cinema have earned him the revered title of “MEGASTAR,” a figure whose influence spans generations and transcends industries.
Chiranjeevi was recently awarded the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honor, by the Government of India. Adding to his ever-growing list of accolades, on September 22, 2024, he achieved yet another historic feat. The Guinness World Records recognized him as the “Most Prolific Film Star in the Indian Film Industry” in the Actor/Dancer category. This remarkable achievement holds even more significance as it coincides with the anniversary of his debut in 1978.

Over his illustrious 45-year career, Chiranjeevi has delivered more than 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs across 156 films—an extraordinary accomplishment that brings immense pride to Telugu cinema and the entire Indian film industry. Guinness World Records adjudicator Richard Stenning, who officiated the event, praised Chiranjeevi’s unparalleled contribution to cinema, stating, “After reviewing all 156 films and his dance performances, we found this achievement to be officially amazing.”
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who was the chief guest at the ceremony, expressed his admiration, saying, “I am honored to be part of this historic moment. Like millions of his fans, I am a huge admirer of Chiranjeevi. His energy, charisma, and dance skills electrify audiences across the world. His influence goes beyond India, reaching global audiences.”
During the event, it was revealed that Chiranjeevi is fondly referred to as the “Indian Michael Jackson” in China due to his signature dance style. As a token of appreciation, Chiranjeevi presented Aamir Khan with a special commemorative pen.

Reflecting on his achievement, Chiranjeevi shared, “This moment is unforgettable, and Aamir’s presence makes it even more special. I never expected this recognition from the Guinness World Records, but it’s humbling to be acknowledged for my dancing. Dance has been an integral part of my career and has brought me immense joy and success. I owe this honor to the directors, producers, music directors, and choreographers who showcased my dancing on screen. My heartfelt thanks to Richard Stenning for traveling here to honor me.”
Despite battling illness (chikungunya), Chiranjeevi made it a point to attend the event, sharing touching memories from his childhood and reflecting on how dance unknowingly became a key part of his life.
The event, adjudicated by Mr. Richard Stenning from London, was attended by industry stalwarts such as Raghavendra Rao, Allu Aravind, Gunasekhar, Surender Reddy, Mallidi Vassishta, Aswini Dutt, KS Rama Rao, Suresh Babu, Tammareddy Bharadwaj, B.
