Previously, this feature was only available to paid subscribers. With this update, several new features have been introduced.
ChatGPT Search Now Available for Everyone
OpenAI has officially launched ChatGPT search for all users. Now, users with a ChatGPT account can access the search feature on both the mobile app and website. The company has stated that the feature is now better and more advanced than before. Previously, this feature was only available to paying subscribers.
However, now anyone can use it. Users who are already logged into their ChatGPT account can access this feature without paying. OpenAI started ChatGPT search in November 2024, and since then, it has been continuously adding new content to the search engine. The company stated that this search engine is now directly competing with Google’s search engine, which is the most widely used search engine in the world.
New Features in ChatGPT Search
With the launch, OpenAI introduced an optimized version of ChatGPT search for smartphones. Users can now access a voice search mode. This feature allows users to ask questions through voice commands only. With this mode, users can interact more efficiently with ChatGPT search. Along with this, OpenAI has also introduced a real-time video and screen-sharing feature in voice mode for its ChatGPT AI chatbot.
Get Answers to Complex Questions
During the event, the company shared details about this new feature. Users can now share their screen with ChatGPT to get answers to any kind of question. To start a video, users can click on the video icon located on the left side of the chat window. For screen sharing, simply tap on the three-dot menu, and the screen share option will appear.
New Capabilities Available for Teams, Plus, and Pro Users
These new features are now available for Teams, Plus, and Pro users on iOS and Android mobile apps. The features will be available for ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu users starting in January. It’s important to note that the voice mode will not be available in EU countries.
