L&T Secures Major Orders for Power Transmission & Distribution Business

Varahi media.com online news,Mumbai, April 1, 2025: Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) division has secured significant new orders both domestically and internationally.

The company has won a contract to set up a 765kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) in western India, along with another order for the turnkey construction of a transmission line to support power evacuation in the same region.

In Saudi Arabia, L&T has been awarded orders for the construction of two 380kV overhead lines, with a combined length of over 130 kilometers. These lines will ensure a reliable power supply to key townships surrounding Riyadh.

In addition, the PT&D division has received turnkey orders for the construction, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of two 132/11kV GIS in the UAE, along with a 132kV GIS project in Qatar. Additional orders have also been secured for ongoing projects in India and Oman.

These new orders reflect the ongoing investments in efficient grid infrastructure both in India and abroad and highlight the continued trust in L&T’s expertise and capabilities.
