Varahi media.com online news,march 25th,2025: Lions Club celebrated Women’s Day with grandeur at “Laisha Utsav,” an event dedicated to honoring women’s empowerment. Organized under the aegis of Lions International District 320A, the event took place at Lions Bhavan, Secunderabad, with Lion D.V.S. Lakshmi (MJF) as the chief guest.
The event was graced by guest of honor Lion Geeta Deepa Reddy (MJF), Lion Prabhavati (MJF), Lion Dr. Hypno Padma Kamalakar, and G. Krishna Veni. Presiding over the event, Lion Rekha Zahurkar (MJF), a member of the Women’s Festival Committee, shared her insights on women’s empowerment. The celebration, themed “Stree Samman – Mahila Utsav, Chuyae Aasman,” was filled with enthusiasm and meaning.

Chief guest Lion D.V.S. Lakshmi emphasized that the growth of a woman signifies the development of an entire family. She praised the event for providing a platform to showcase women’s strength and inspire future generations. The festival aimed to recognize women’s achievements, boost their self-confidence, and acknowledge their contributions to society.
The celebration featured the felicitation of talented women, including veteran actress Roja Ramani, along with engaging activities such as cooking competitions, games, cultural performances, and prize distributions. The event focused on fostering women’s capabilities, creativity, and commitment to community service.
Guest of honor Lion Geeta Deepa Reddy highlighted the theme “Women’s Honor – Society’s Pride,” emphasizing the Lions Club’s vision of empowering every woman to progress.
The event was successfully organized by Lion T. Nainadevi (MJF) as the program coordinator, with Lion Lakshmi Somayajulu (MJF) as co-coordinator. Lions K. Shobhavathi (PMJF) and Lion Sanjukta Sen played crucial roles in ensuring the event’s success.
