L2: Empuraan Goes Global – Game of Thrones Star Jerome Flynn Joins the Cast

Varahi media.com online news,Marach 1st,2025: The much-awaited sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, L2: Empuraan, is set to take Indian cinema to the next level. Starring the dynamic duo Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film is grander in terms of budget, scale, and star power. Fans are eagerly anticipating its worldwide release.

Adding to the excitement, the makers recently revealed that renowned Hollywood actor Jerome Flynn, best known for his role as Bronn in Game of Thrones, has joined the cast. Flynn plays a key character, Boris Oliver, in the film. The versatile actor has also appeared in John Wick: Chapter 3, Soldier Soldier, and Black Mirror.

The makers released a teaser introducing Jerome’s character, in which the actor expressed his enthusiasm for being part of an Indian film. “I can’t quite remember how I got roped into this project, but I’m so glad I did. It was a completely different experience from what I’m used to in the UK or the US. To be part of Mollywood and experience its unique culture is truly special,” said Flynn.

He further shared his deep connection with India, stating that the country has been an integral part of his journey. “I spent several years coming here in my late 20s and early 30s, mostly on spiritual retreats. Being in India has changed my life forever in the best possible way.”

Though he remained tight-lipped about his role, Flynn hinted that his character plays a crucial part in Khureshi’s journey and hopes audiences will appreciate it.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, L2: Empuraan boasts a stellar cast, including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Sai Kumar, and Baiju Santosh in significant roles.

The film is produced by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions and Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas. Deepak Dev has composed the music, and GKM Tamil Kumaran spearheads Lyca Productions.

L2: Empuraan is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 27, 2025, in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada.
