Varahimedia.com online news, November 3rd,2024:In a significant maneuver to challenge the growing popularity of state-owned BSNL, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio, the largest telecom provider in India, has launched two new tariff plans that offer unlimited calling and high-speed 5G data for 90 and 98 days, respectively.
The new offerings are Jio’s ₹899 and ₹999 plans, which provide users with unlimited calling and data for less than ₹10 per day, making them an attractive option for consumers.
₹899 Plan
Jio’s ₹899 plan features 2GB of daily high-speed data and unlimited 5G data for users with compatible handsets. It also includes unlimited calling, free national roaming, 100 free SMS per day, and access to additional services such as JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud. This plan is valid for 90 days.
₹999 Plan
Similar to the ₹899 plan, the ₹999 plan offers 2GB of daily high-speed data and unlimited 5G data for eligible users. It also provides unlimited calling, free national roaming, and 100 free SMS daily, alongside access to supplementary Jio services like JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud. This plan comes with a validity of 98 days.
These new recharge plans are strategically designed to lure back users who migrated to BSNL in large numbers after mobile tariffs saw a significant increase in July. Reports indicate that BSNL gained over 55 million new users during the July-August period, while Reliance Jio faced losses, shedding more than 4 million users in the same timeframe.
