This first edition of HTF will truly be a cultural milestone for the city.”
Underlining the historic association of the city with arts, Naseeruddin Shah said,’’Performing Ismat Apa Ke Naam has always felt like revisiting a classic that still has the power to cut through time. After many memorable seasons with Delhi and Bengaluru, I’m happy to be a part of the inaugural season of Hyderabad Theatre Festival. The city has a long, rich relationship with art, and I’m looking forward to seeing how its audiences engage with these timeless stories.’’
With the Delhi Theatre Festival and the Bengaluru Theatre Festival together drawing an audience of over 60,000+ theatre enthusiasts across their seasons, HTF aims to establish Hyderabad as a key hub for premium theatre experiences, bringing together celebrated artists, compelling performances, and audiences who share a deep appreciation for the performing arts.

‘’Performing Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai at the Delhi Theatre Festival this year was truly unforgettable, a housefull show, a standing ovation, and an audience that gave me one of the most rewarding evenings of my career. Experiences like that remind me why theatre is so powerful.
I’m now looking forward to bringing the play to Hyderabad, as the city has an old, deep-rooted love for art, and I can’t wait to see how its audiences connect with this journey of hope, humour, and self-reflection,’’ said Anupam Kher.
“Adding to that, Ratna Pathak Shah highlighted HTF as the beginning of a new era in the city, stating, ‘’Hyderabad has a cultural warmth that artists always feel drawn to, and I’m happy that after the successful curation of Delhi Theatre Festival and Bengaluru Theatre Festival, it’s now coming to Hyderabad.
