Varahi media.com online news,MUMBAI, December 24, 2025: Bank of India (BoI), one of India’s premier Public Sector Banks, successfully raised ₹10,000 crore today through the issuance of Long-Term Infrastructure Bonds. The bidding process was conducted via the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Electronic Bidding Provider Platform, drawing robust interest from the investor community.

Key Highlights of the Bond Issue
Total Amount Raised: ₹10,000 crore (Base issue of ₹5,000 crore with a Green Shoe option of ₹5,000 crore).

Coupon Rate: 7.23% per annum.

Investor Demand: The issue received an overwhelming response with 83 bids totaling ₹15,305 crore, representing a 1.5x over-subscription.

Final Allocation: The bank accepted 37 bids to fulfill the total targeted amount of ₹10,000 crore.

Strategic Utilization of Funds
In alignment with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, the capital raised will be deployed to support:

Infrastructure Sub-sectors: Providing long-term credit for various national development projects.

Affordable Housing: Funding initiatives aimed at strengthening the housing sector for low-to-middle-income groups.

The bank clarified that the funds raised through this issuance are intended for general infrastructure and housing portfolios and are not earmarked for any specific individual project.
