Analysis:
“23” offers a raw and rustic portrayal of real incidents while delving into deeper emotional and ethical issues. The second half is particularly gripping, with Jhansi’s entry and investigative elements giving the film its needed momentum. The courtroom scenes and hard-hitting lines keep the audience engaged.
However, the slow narrative pace and occasional documentary-like treatment weigh the film down. The editing could have been tighter, especially in the first half.
Verdict:
“23” (Iravai Moodu) is a thought-provoking social drama that raises important questions about the justice system and human emotions. Despite a few flaws in pacing and narration, the film’s realistic tone, dialogue strength, and relevant themes make it a worthy watch for audiences seeking substance and impact.
