Polestones Automobiles, a Chinese start-up car maker, has custom-built its first luxury SUV for overlanding or adventure seekers. Polestones 01 (Polestones 01) SUV is a 4X4 luxury vehicle that comes with Level-2 autonomous features.

It is designed by the Italian brand Pininfarina. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine. It also generates power for the electric motor. But what makes this SUV most unique is its rear.

Kitchen in SUV..

In keeping with the outdoor lifestyle vehicle branding, the Polestone 01 SUV comes with a camper-style kitchen integrated into the tailgate. Induction cooker, water dispenser, storage, workspace are available in the kitchen.

There is also an integrated gazebo that can open up to 270 degrees to provide wider cover for outdoor activities. The car maker claims that the gazebo takes just five minutes to assemble. This customization is sure to appeal to many adventure enthusiasts who love to travel in this SUV.

King size bed, theater fun..

The exterior features of the SUV are also seen inside the cabin. Polestone 01 is offered with a choice of 6 or 7 seater setup. It comes with airline-style reclining seats. In the 7-seater version, the second and third row seats can be opened.

It can also be converted into a king-size bed. There is also a large infotainment screen that slides down from the roof panel on the first row backrest. Once fully reclined, the second and third rows can be converted into a theater with entertainment screens.

Engine Power- Speed..

The Chinese SUV is not far behind. According to reports, the engine in it can produce a maximum power of 469 HP and a maximum torque of 740 Nm. The Polestone 01 SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 5.5 seconds.

Considering its size, more than 5 meters long, almost 2 meters wide, high, its acceleration is very fast. In fact, its size is reminiscent of the SUV Land Rover Defender, in terms of some of its design elements.

Battery – Range..

The SUV also comes with a 56 kWh lithium-ion self-charging battery pack manufactured by CATL. According to the Chinese test cycle, the battery gives a range of 235 km in EV mode only, according to the manufacturer.

Adding to the efficiency of the petrol engine, the SUV can cover a range of 1,100 kilometers without stopping for refuelling.
