"Amma" Short Film Reveals the Grandeur of Motherhood with a Heartfelt Message

This meaningful short film, which is being released in honor of Mother’s Day, will be available to audiences on May 11. Presented by AAR Film Makers and in collaboration with Natya Margam, the film is a tribute to all mothers.

In the lead role, acclaimed dancer Indrani Davaluri portrays a powerful character. Indrani’s recent film “Andela Ravamidi” earned several prestigious awards before its release, and now she stars in a key role in “Amma.” Speaking about her role, Indrani Davaluri said, “A mother embodies selfless love with no expectations. This short film aims to showcase the greatness of such a mother.”

The story, screenplay, dialogue, and direction of “Amma” have been handled by Harish Bannai, who explained, “What does it feel like for a mother to suffer when her child is in pain? How do we repay the love of a mother who burns like a candle to show us the way? This is the central theme of our film.”

The cast also includes Sambhi, Sudha Kondapu, and Reena Bommasani, among others. The music for the film has been composed by K.V. Bharadwaj, and the cinematography is by Karthik Kalluri.

With its release set for May 11, “Amma” is already creating a buzz. Much like the ongoing railway renovation projects, the film is poised to strike an emotional chord with its audience, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
