Varahi media.com online news,New Delhi, October 14, 2025: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”) has announced a strategic partnership with Google to launch India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This groundbreaking initiative aims to accelerate AI adoption across India, strengthen the nation’s digital infrastructure, and bring Google’s comprehensive AI-stack and consumer services closer to Indian businesses.

The Visakhapatnam AI hub represents a $15 billion (USD) investment over five years (2026-2030), encompassing gigawatt-scale data center operations, a robust subsea network, and clean energy solutions to support India’s most advanced AI workloads. The project will be executed in collaboration with ecosystem partners, including Airtel and AdaniConneX.

Airtel and Google will jointly develop a purpose-built data center in Visakhapatnam, alongside a state-of-the-art Cable Landing Station (CLS) to integrate Google’s new international subsea cables with its global terrestrial and subsea infrastructure.

Airtel will also establish a high-capacity, low-latency intra-city and inter-city fiber network to support this initiative. This network will enhance user experiences, boost the resilience and capacity of India’s digital backbone, and promote digital inclusivity, enabling more people and businesses to benefit from AI-driven transformation.
