varahimedia.com, online news, Hyderabad, June 14, 2025: Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET) proudly announced the successful culmination of “HackPrix: Season 2,” a pioneering and one-of-a-kind hackathon that has grown significantly in its second iteration. This year’s event saw an overwhelming response with over 3,000 student registrations from more than 85 cities across India, culminating in the participation of over 550 students in the rigorous 36-hour hackathon.
HackPrix Season 2 solidified its reputation as one of the largest hackathons hosted by an engineering institution. Participants, many traveling from distant cities in North and North-East India, showcased their prowess in advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, embedded systems, and data science. Over the intense 36-hour period, students developed innovative projects, demonstrating their technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
A notable highlight of this season was the significant participation of over 100 female students, amplifying the crucial role of women in ethical hacking and technology development. These talented young women focused on creating applications, codes, and AI-based solutions specifically designed to address women’s issues, fostering innovation with a social impact.
Mr. Tauseef Ahmed, Vice Chairman of Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology, expressed his delight at the event’s success. “After the grand success of HackPrix Season 1, we are thrilled to bring back HackPrix Season 2.
This year, the event has grown exponentially with over 3,000 registrations and more than 550 participants from various institutions across India. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the young team, organizers, and management members for making this event a grand success,” he stated.

HackPrix Season 2 offered a prize pool exceeding ₹1,25,000, which will be awarded across multiple categories recognizing innovation, originality, and technical execution. Participants were provided with free food and accommodation on the Lords campus, ensuring a conducive environment for focused work. The entire hackathon was meticulously organized by the talented students of LIET, with unwavering support from the management.
