Rafael and L&T Sign MoU to Offer TROPHY Active Protection System for Indian Defence Platforms

Varahi media.com online news, Mumbai, February 17th, 2025: Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd (Rafael) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Aero India 2025 to jointly offer the indigenously produced TROPHY Active Protection System (APS) for Indian defence platforms.

TROPHY APS is recognized as the world’s only proven and operational APS system.

TROPHY is a crucial battlefield technology with Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems capabilities and other defensive features designed to protect both the platform and its soldiers. Through this partnership, the TROPHY APS will be introduced as a customized solution for integration on India’s defence platforms.

This collaboration aligns with the Indian government’s vision of fast-tracking the indigenisation of critical and emerging technologies and is in line with the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ initiatives.
